Sherlock: The Tomb of the Archaeologist

We start this newscast on the 25th of August of 1923 with sad news: the death of the famous archaeologist and explorer Edward Carter. According to sources close to the family, the admired professor was found in his study by his wife, with a letter opener stabbed in his back. Due to the violent nature of the incident, Scotland Yard has begun a formal investigation and the closest friends and colleagues are being questioned. The classes at Oxford University will be interrupted for a few minutes this afternoon to pay tribute to one of the finest members of its community. After Edward Carter was found dead, the police asks for your help to discover what happened. Who did it? How? Why?
